One of the single most important aspects to building a marketing piece that sells is adding proof that your product or services work. This is something that many small businesses forget to do and is something that is incredibly important.I always tell my clients that the more bold your claims are, the more powerful your proof needs to be.
So what is a form of proof? What are some examples?
There are actually many different forms of "Proof" and as a small business owner, you should think about the kind of "proof" that might be most effective with your customers.
Here are a few examples. If you're a contractor, before and after photos might be your best choice for proving that you're a good contractor. If you're a massage therapist or a hypnotherapist, testimonials are going to be your best bet. In fact, the video above is an example of a short testimonial video we shot for a recent acupuncture client of ours. In any type of small business, you should incorporate logos of associations you belong to or other endorsements by third parties.
Another great way to get proof about your business is to create a fan page on sites like facebook or twitter. The more people you have following you there, the better off your page will be.
